Crown Quest privacy policy

This policy covers Crown Quest on iPhone, iPad and Android, made by Raiblin Services Pty Ltd in Australia (“Raiblin”, “we”). It says what the app keeps, what leaves your device, and why.

In short

  • What Crown Quest saves stays on your device.
  • Crash and error reports go to Sentry to find and fix bugs. They never include your name, your email address or your IP address.
  • Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play. Raiblin never sees your payment details.
  • No ads, no analytics, no accounts and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Crown Quest saves these on your device:

  • Your progress: the levels you have solved, your daily puzzles and streak, and the gold you have earned
  • Your settings
  • The characters, crests and styles you have unlocked
  • Whether you own the unlock, as the store last reported it

They stay on your device, and deleting the app deletes them. Your phone’s own backup (iCloud on iPhone and iPad, Android backup on Android) may include this data, under your backup settings. Raiblin cannot see those backups.

What leaves your device

Crash and error reports go to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., USA) to find and fix bugs. Each one holds:

  • The error and where in the app it happened
  • The app version and build number
  • The device model
  • The operating system and its version
  • The name of the graphics adapter, and the WebView version on Android
  • The last few steps the app logged before the error, such as the game starting or restarting

They never hold your name, your email address, your IP address, an account or user ID, an advertising identifier, screenshots or screen recordings. See Sentry’s privacy policy.

Nothing else leaves your device, apart from what the store needs to make a purchase (below).

Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google takes the payment, and Raiblin never sees your payment details. The app receives only whether you own the unlock, and keeps that on your device.

What Crown Quest does not do

  • It shows no ads.
  • It has no analytics.
  • It has no accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for.
  • It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • It never asks for your location, your contacts, your camera or your microphone.

Children

Crown Quest is rated 4+, for everyone. It is not directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
